The Aluminum TekDeck offers a lightweight and narrow alternative to the SnapDeck. It comes pre-drilled with strap eyelets that clamp directly to the V-racks for a strong attachment. The curved end provides great protection from the elements and the stylish anodized slate gray adds a sleek look to your Xtracycle set up.
Unlike the SnapDeck, the TekDeck clamps your racks together rather than forcing them apart - bringing your load closer to the center and resisting TekDeck pop-off. The combination of TekDeck and Xtracycle Pannier Racks leaves you with a light, tight set up for an off-road extravaganza.
When using a pair of Xtracycle Pannier Racks in combination with the TekDeck, one set of Whatchamacollars is required and two sets is recommended for a extra sturdy fit. When using the TekDeck with the V-Racks & Freeloader Saddlebags, the Watchamacollars are not required as the Freeloaders help to secure the V-Racks to the Xtracyle frame, though they will also provide for a sturdier fit in these instances.
