Wandertec mLite - Light for Bike Flags

Stock status: Ships in approx. 1-2 weeks

Overview

The mLite is a great for mounting to bike trailer flags. The long-lasting, ultra-bright LED greatly increases your bike trailer's visibility by mounting it higher up on the flag pole.

The mLite mounts firmly to flag poles, rails, and tubing by seating its wedge-shaped clamping edge against the pole and wrapping the rubber ring over the clamp edge and pole several times. The light's position can be rotated to allow for the light to be focused at the optimal angle.

This handy little light is sturdy, compact and light weight. We highly recommend it for use with BOB, Burley, Chariot or any other trailer with a flag for increasing visibility day or night.

Not only is this light perfect to use on the flag poles of bike cargo trailers, bike child trailers, recumbents, and kids bikes, it can also be mounted onto your bicycle's seastays or saddle rails.

I purchased this light for my Bob Ibex flag mast prior to riding the Pacific Coast Trail.......White Rock, BC to Ensanada, Mexico in Sept '07. The light works well and fits snugly on the mast, but beware of the elastic strap that it comes with to secure it to the mast. The elastic deteriorates quickly in the sunshine and begins to crack and split. The strap could separate on a ride and you'd lose the light without realizing it. I discarded the strap when I noticed the cracks and used a two thin strips of Duct Tape to secure the light to the mast. It worked fine for the 2,000+ miles.

@Andy_in_Germany I suspect Eurobike would be even better for electric cargo bikes. I'm reminded I need to publish your #Xtracycle post.

Electric cargo bike on the brain. Maybe just a regular electric bike. Looking forward to Interbike to test ride what's new.
