Schwalbe Big Apple Kevlar Tire 16" x 2"
Stock status: 5+ in stock
Schwalbe is always a great choice.
The Big Apple not only looks great on a bike trailer, it offers much more. With its super-large volume it swallows unevenness. The extra bearing surface and grippy Silica Compound offer security for your trailer on slippery city streets and the large volume additionally protects against flats. A white reflective stripe around the tires adds much needed viability to your bike trailer.
New! Significantly improved puncture protection. The Big Apple is equipped with Schwalbe's new KevlarGuard. The Kevlar Belted sidewall increases durability and puncture resistance.
More comfort, more adhesion, more security. Having large feet has its advantages.
Use 16 " Schwalbe Big Apples on the BOB Yak, BOB Ibex, Burley Nomad, Burley Tail Wagon, Croozer Cargo, Croozer Travel and PaddleBoy Flyer.

Product Reviews
With this tire you will not have to worry about failure. I use a 26 inch Big Apple on the back of my Catrike Expedition and on my Burley Nomad trailer. The ability to drop pressure while still maintaining a good bead lock on the wheels is a plus as it allows for on-the-ground suspension. The ability to run them up to 70 lbs PSI provides very acceptable rolling resistance. I'm not a racer and use my trike and trailer for all kinds of off-road camping things and these tires have never once let me down. As long as you aren't a racer these will last a long time and give good service with little to no problems.Rated 5 out of 5 Stars
“Wise upgrade. Highly recommended!”
I upgraded the stock tire on my BOB Ibex trailer to the Schwalbe Big Apple. After a 601-mile tour, I had zero [0] flats with it and no worries. (In comparison: On the same tour, I had seven [7] flats on my bike’s Kendra Kross tires—wishing I had Schwalbe rubber under my mountain bike…’Nuff said!)Rated 5 out of 5 Stars
