I didn't need the skewer, so I was happy to find the cup sold by itself. It looks and works just like the original.

There isn't much to say about the hitch. I got tired of swapping the one we had between my bike and the family tandem, so I bought another. Most shops don't offer it without the skewer which is a waste since I won't use it and it is more expensive. It arrived quickly, it cost approximately 1/3 of what my local shop quoted me for it, it sits on the tandem and the trailer can now be connected in seconds. Too easy.
