Joshua Grover - 05/31/2006 Pros: So this is a brief account of my travels, I took my bicycle with B.O.B. and CELLO on to the DART Train to Dallas-Fort Worth Airport and transferred to the airport shuttle bus. However, I got off at the wrong terminal. So, I rode my bicycle on the access roads to the correct terminal and then packed my bicycle into the CELLO, checked it in with no problems. I arrived in Oakland and rode it to Mount Diablo and left the trailer at my cousins house. A few days later, I then packed the CELLO into my cousins pick-up headed for Santa Cruz. On the way back we actually fit the Ibex and Cello into a Nissan Altima with a 3 people in the car and a booming system in the trunk. Finally, I rode the bicycle out to a BART Station and got off at The Missions and road it around. Then I took it on the BART again to the Oakland Coliseum station, but was not allowed to take it on an airport bus. However, I was told to take on a standard commuter bus. I missed both, but was able to get the B.O.B. with the Drysak and CELLO into the back seat and bicycle into the trunk. Please note that there were always options to travel car free and in many municipalities to ride the bus with the CELLO onboard and the bicycle on the front of the bus.
Cons: Although this bike case is solid laterally, the luggage handler's can sometimes really tug on the handles. One of the crossmembers of my case pulled loose, but no damage occurred to the bicycle or case.
Recommendations: I need to mention my bicycle is a Cannondale Raven II with a Lefty, so I needed a Hurricane ForkUp the allowed an exotic bike to fit. I would be great if www.biketrailershop.com sold the Forkup for Lefty and Downhill Fork mounting.
