Burley Alternative Hitch (quick release)

Burley's Quick Release Alternative Hitch is suitable for bicycle's with quick releases that have Breezer style "socket style" dropouts.

The Quick Release-Alternative Hitch is available in standard(125mm- 135mm) or tandem(140mm - 160mm) sizing.

We offer the flex connector/safety-strap kit as an option for the Alternative Hitch. This kit includes the the flex connector, strap, the lock pin and the bolt for connecting the trailer's flex connector to the trailer's hitch arm. Only one flex connector/safety-strap kit is needed per trailer. If you are purchasing additional hitches for using your trailer on multiple bikes, you will not need another flex connector/safety-strap kit. If you are upgrading your trailer's hitch from the Classic Hitch, you will need a new safety strap assembly so you should get a flex connector/safety-strap kit .

Please Note the following:
The flex connector connects the hitch to the tongue of the trailer and is available for the round tongue or square tongue hitch arms.
Burley recommends that you replace the flex connector every five years.
Most 2007 and later trailers other than the Burley Nomad have the new square tongue.
Pre-2007 trailers have the round tongue.
