The LongTail Kit is the standard load carrying system for outfitting Xtracycle base kits and compatible longtail bikes like the Surly Big Dummy.
The LongTail Kit includes 2 V-Racks, 1 Snap Deck and 2 FreeLoader Saddle Bags. These components work together forming a multitude of options for carrying gear on your Xtracycle or longtail bike. Their unique design offers 2 quick loading, expandable compartments great for grocery bags (3 per side), backpacks, gear bags, guitars, tools, beach gears and a whole lot more. The SnapDeck is the perfect place to strap down larger items like boxes and small furniture. When loading up the SnapDeck, you can even join the FreeLoader buckles from opposite sides together over-the-top to hold everything in place.
The LongTail kit is available as the default kit choice for the 26" or 700c Xtracycle kit. If you already have a FreeRadical Base Kit, the LongTail Kit will upgrade your Xtracycle to a complete FreeRadical Kit. It also can be purchased to outfit a longtail bike built on the Xtracycle longtail standard such as the Surly Big Dummy.
