The Travoy is a great option for any cyclist whose landscape contains elevators, commuter trains, taxis, and bodegas. With accessories, the Urban Trailer System™ is not just your bike trailer; it's your shopping cart, your messenger bag, and your briefcase.

The Travoy is quite flexible in offering a variety of load carrying configurations. The Travoy is designed to work with several combinations of Travoy specific upper and lower bags. Consider the Travoy Market Bags or the Travoy Transit Bags. The included Travoy tote bag functions as both a lower bag for the Travoy and for storing the Travoy, which folds up to the size of a briefcase, when it is not in use. Mix and match the upper and lower Travoy bags to suit your needs.

The Travoy is well suited to carry a variety of loads that do not fit in the Travoy bags, with the use of the Travoy Tie Down Straps (2 included with Travoy). The body of the Travoy is perfect for cradling all sorts of loads. A few loads that come to mind: a stack of boxes, golf clubs, a vaccuum, a pile of hand tools and a whole lot more....

The Travoy hitch mounts to your bicycle's seat post. This may not be compatible with some rack-top bags or rear-mounting children's bike seats.

The Burley Travoy is great, easy to use, folds back down and fits in the bag with the wheels to carry along, is very light and tracks well. Mine was received VERY promptly after my order. I also ordered the rack mount hitch which was helpful. I put various signs including an LED sign on it, along with other materials and ride it up and down the boulevard giving our nonprofit org some exposure.

I'm a carless guy and a mechanical engineer with about 15,000 miles on bikes. I bought this to pick up my groceries 7 miles away my home. Previously I've I owned a Burley Tailwagon, a Burley Flatbed and several Bobs. I was amazed at the quality of this trailer, especially at this price. I just did my first 14 mile trip with it behind my Trek 6700. It rides perfectly, and seems to have very little wheel friction and air drag. I found the supplied bag sufficient for a weeks groceries. Kudos to the people at Burley who made it all come together. Fabulous job on this product.

I bought this trailer to haul 40 lb bags of dog food and grocery shopping. The Travoy has exceeded my expectations. The only problem is that I now want to shop more so that I can use the trailer. I love that it folds up to become compact, light, and easy to tote.

Makes grocery shopping so much easier. I just bring it into the store with me and load it up to make sure I don't grab more than I can really carry, and it maneuvers better than a shopping cart. Now it's easy to carry things like multipacks of paper towels or 14x30 air filters. Plus, it's quite the conversation piece, people are always asking me about it. Has proven very sturdy over the past 9 months or so, and I only managed to flip it once, when I had a lopsided load and took it over a curb at a different angle from the bike. It has a really easy turning radius. I had to get the rack attachment at first, because my main commuter bike doesn't have enough clearance, but now I use it on the seat post of an old beater bike. It took a few tries to get the knack of sliding it off the hitch without banging my hand on the seat, it sticks a little if I don't make sure the hitch and the trailer attachment are level and lined up straight. It's easier to get it on, things don't have to be lined up perfectly. I've also taken it by itself on the bus when I was picking up kitty litter and a bulky basket, very convenient. One of the best purchases I've made!

Have only used it once so far, but it is my favorite thing now. Seems a marvel of great design and deserves a prize. Trying to think of things I need to do that require it. (Dropped off all the salvation army stuff). Hope it doesn't break but it seems very well made... Bike trailer shop.com are great to deal with and cheapest by far..

This trailer is great! It rides so smoothly and quietly that when it's empty I have to keep checking it's still there. It goes up and down kerbs and stairs very nicely, even one wheel at a time, and as a trolley it's so maneuverable in supermarkets etc that it's a pleasure to use. Pure convenience. When my bike fell over with the Travoy full of groceries attached, the Travoy pivoted on its hitch and moved gently downwards until it lay above the back wheel at about a 45 degree angle. All my groceries stayed in the bag and there was no damage to either the Travoy or the bike. That is quite special. The little rubber foot came off somewhere in the first week I had it, but that's not a big deal. Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It's made life noticeably easier in a house without a car.

Wow - this is an excellent trailer. I have had 3 trailers before (2 child trailers and one cargo trailer) but this one beats them all. It is super light-weight - when unloaded I have to look behind me to see if the trailer is still there. It is really well thought out - a quick twist of the pivot points and it folds. Most of all, it is versatile - it can carry almost any shaped load. Its the only trailer I have found that can carry my cello. A bit expensive, especially as you have to buy the extra bags separately. For now, I just use it as a bare trailer with tie straps, or the included (huge) tote bag.

I bought this trailer to take to the grocery store and to the farmer's market. This is the first time I've ever ridden with a trailer attached to my bike and I am so pleased that it effortlessly tracks behind my bike as I ride. When I take it to the farmer's market, it easily detaches from my bike and I use it as a shopping cart as I cruise through the booths at the market. I had considered getting a dedicated cargo bike but having a detachable cargo trailer is a better solution for me when I am out shopping and I need to make multiple stops. I am so glad that I bought the Travoy!

I have been very satisfied with this trailer. A few miscellaneous points: The bag that was included shifts slightly during travel and rubs on the tires, especially when empty. I bought a plastic kitchen trash can and strapped it onto the Travoy with the included straps. I just toss stuff into the trash can and that simplifies packing and unpacking and making multiple stops. I haven't used the included bag since. The trailer hooks/unhooks remarkably easily to the seatpost. It's an engineering marvel, but it's so easy to disconnect that I feel that I should lock it to the bike when I leave the bike, so I usually bring two locks. The peg stand, which apparently folds in to make the folded product cleaner, doesn't stay out and I have to find it under there and re-deploy it frequently. It makes for a way shorter train than my Bob, and is way easier to load than the Bob, but I think I feel a little more secure riding with the Bob back there. I'm always afraid that I will clip a curb with one wheel and something will flip somehow back there, although that has never happened. In fact, when going off of a curb on an angle, it seems to handle it flawlessly.

I didn't know I would be getting one of the large shopping bags with the trailer. The trailer can actually fit inside it's own bag and that's how it arrives. I immediately modified the strapping system to work longer distances by cutting them apart and knotting the clip onto one end of the now singled strapping. I've not used the rainfly yet. It will only cover their amount of cargo bags. I tend to have stuff hanging off and over the sides. I have been very pleased with this trailer. I've overloaded it,75-80 pounds and did well. It is silent and handles so much better than an axle hook. The set-up is not nearly so tractor trailer thousand point turn around. It effortlessly goes in a tight circle and over curbs. This could go onto a city bus as a shopping cart with your bike on the front of the bus easily. The knobs of the hook points are specific enough to the tie downs that come with the trailer that some bungy-cord hooks wouldn't hold. I will end up buying a second set of straps. The big, very big cargo shopping bag is huge(a propane tank for a grill). And I can't stack my fresh produce groceries on top of each other so deeply without crushing the veggies on the bottom. I am still using my toppeak pack/pannier for grocery/farmers' market runs. The pack can't fit on the bike at the same time as the trailer. So helmet/lock/light must be transferred. I would like to be able to hook the topeak onto the trailer. I could buy yet another set of straps and modify my topeak bag to fit the burley trailer.
