Hello, Very courteous and prompt service! I received my new Burley Flatbed a couple days ago, I liked the looks and feel of it right out of the carton. Very light for its overall size and quite sturdy. Not to mention cool looking too! In a very short time I assembled the few parts that were not already set. I waited until the weather warmed a bit and went for a ride after attaching it to my Specialized Hybrid Bike. It was a very smooth ride! Today I loaded about 50 pounds on it and rode for a few miles. Also was a very smooth ride, perhaps even a bit more so with the added weight for 'stability." Tried it attached to my Specialized Sequoia Road Bike as well. Great trailer!!!!! I have been shopping by bike for some years. Most of my shopping is within 10 -12 miles round trip. Now I can pick up even more things locally. Can't wait to go to the local nursery supply and bring back my necessities in the Spring! Did I say it is a great trailer? I ordered the Burley Flatbed; it arrived quickly and as promised (as soon as the stock arrived) and I hooked it up and was cruising that night. I love it! I'm heading to the grocery store today and also picking up a pallet of flowers to plant. Josh recognized that one of the bikes I might be towing with, a Burley road bike, had dropouts that required the alternative hitch which works just as well on my other bikes. I can only imagine that, purchasing it somewhere else, I would have gotten the standard hitch and been disappointed. Thanks Josh!! I love the Burley Flatbed. I use it to carry groceries (up to 100 lbs!) and I also put my soft-sided dog crate on it so my dogs can go with me when I ride. It arrived almost completely put together and it was very easy to follow the directions to finish the job. Love it! Wow, great trailer! The quality and design are really good. I'm looking forward to putting many miles on it this year! It arrived very quickly and was easy to set up. When I put in on my bike for the initial ride, I couldn't even feel it behind me, it is so light. For the price I don't think you can find anything better! I chose this trailer because for my needs it offered the most versatility. I spent a great deal of time researching models and prices and without a doubt, Biketrailershop.com had the best price at the time of purchase. I frequently purchase various items online and I can honestly say that this was the fastest shipping of a product I have ever experienced. The trailer shipment arrived in a timely fashion with no damage. The set up was amazingly easy and fast, quite intuitive. The flatbed trails beautifully; empty it hardly seems that there is any drag at all. I've hauled huge yard refuse bags filled with oak leaves and pine needles, probably 35 lbs with nary a problem. The attachement hardware is well designed and hook up is safed with strap and snap. Makes shopping for everything from the dry cleaning to the 25 lb of flour from Sams club a breeze. This is a wonderful trailer!! Set up is super easy and it rides very smooth off the back of my fixie! I can barely tell it's there, no problems with turning... even fairly sharp turns are taken with ease, just don't forget it's on the back when you try to squeeze between obstacles. Other than that, I can not say enough good things about it. I hauled boxes of recycle center cans and bottles, packages for the mailman, flats of flowers for our garden... you name it, it will take it on with ease! If you are gonna get a trailer, buy this one, you will not be sorry! Our son is 20 years old and mildly intellectually challenged. His mode of transportation through the neighborhood is his bicycle. With the trailer on the back of his bicycle, he is now able to transport what he wants to bring with him. He is truly enjoying this added space. The trailer is easy for him to remove and replace as needed. Also, the customer service at Bike Trailer Shop is tremendous. As we worked to get the correct hitch to attach the trailer to his bike, we couldn't have gotten more support. We would not only recommend this trailer, but also purchasing it from the Bike Trailer Shop. I bought my Burley Flatbed a little over 6 months ago and can't believe I've gone so long without one. I mostly use my Flatbed for errands and groceries. I rigged her up with a Rubbermaid ActionPacker which sits very nicely between the sidebars. It keeps all my stuff safe and dry and I can lock it all up with padlocks on the handles and a cable up to my Ulock. For a tour I'm planning in Northeast Vermont this Spring, I just bought an Ortlieb Rack Pack to pack my gear in(a bit lighter than the ActionPacker). Overall I love the Burley's sturdy, basic design. It pulls very smoothly and carries almost anything that I used to put in my car. The hitch works well in that I can switch it between my 2 bikes however I'd like if it was a little quicker to do and undo like I've seen on the B.O.B. trailers.
